Please note: Due to ongoing tram works, Shandwick Place and Princes Street remain closed to traffic, meaning access to The Rutland Hotel by car is via Lothian Road only, travelling from the South to the North. From Lothian Road, Rutland Street can be accessed for the hotel’s main entrance. We strongly advise consulting a street map prior to setting out your route.

If you’re driving from Edinburgh Airport, simply follow the A8 to the City Centre, where you’ll find The Rutland Hotel, located at the corner of Shandwick and Lothian road, just off Princes Street. This should take between 15-20 minutes.
You can also take a taxi from the airport which should cost between £20-£25
From Glasgow International Airport, take the M8 East and follow signs for Edinburgh. At the end of the M8, take the A71 and follow signs for Edinburgh City Centre. The Rutland Hotel is situated at the corner of Shandwick and Lothian road, just off Princes Street. This journey should take 1.5-2 hours
